VALERIO BUONOMO

I am currently a PhD Student in Philosophy at the State University of Milan and my main specialization is metaphysics.
My current research is devoted mainly to the theories of personal identity over time, though my work in this area extends to related topics in ontology (e.g. material constitution; mereology; substance/facts/process ontology; constitutive conditions of persistence), in philosophy of time (endurantism/perdurantism; time passage), and philosophy of mind (conscious experience, psychological approach of persistence).
I received my MA in Philosophy from the State University of Milan in 2014, under the supervision of Paolo Valore and Giuliano Torrengo, with the dissertation “Identity without conditions” (focused on the definition of any constitutive criterion for personal persistence through time).
In 2014 I have been Visiting Scholar at Logos Research Group, University of Barcelona (Spain), under the supervision of Marta Campdelacreu, and in 2011 I have been Visiting Student at the Department of Philosophy of the Eberhard-Karls University of Tuebingen (Germany).
