MARCO PORTILLO
PhD Student
I am Marco Portillo, PhD student in Philosophy at the UNED and the University of Milan, under the direction of professors Jesús Zamora Bonilla and Giuliano Torrengo. I am a member of METIS research group based in Madrid and the Centre for Philosophy of Time in Milan. Also, I work as a part-time researcher in the project ‘Evidence and Mechanisms in the Social Sciences’ (EviSoc). My research focuses on the areas of ontology, metaphysics, philosophy of time, philosophy of science and philosophy of history. In particular, I try to understand the nature of the future and the problems that follow from our conceptions of it.
